Stripes are an easy way to spruce up any outfit, they are classic, timeless, and look good with just about anything.  I wanted to break up the pattern with a block of solid colour to create clear visual boundaries.  I used cream jersey fabric for the sleeve. 
 
I love designing with jersey fabric because it is uncomplicated, pleasantly flexible, and does not wrinkle easily, ideal for traveling.   The fabric has the feel of luxurious silk and molds to the body.  I have used a stabiliser in the shoulder seam to avoid stretch in that area. 
 
Each garment is designed and made by me using traditional sewing techniques.
