The top bodice of the dress features an empire line, which is particularly flattering for pear-shaped figures who want to conceal their stomach area or emphasize their bust. The dress's shape also helps to elongate the body's appearance. The bottom of the dress has a ruffle, and the sleeves are slightly puffed. The dress has an invisible zipper at the back and is fully lined.
I chose a floral pattern for this design because flowers add a touch of femininity and elegance to any outfit. The vibrant colors and patterns evoke a sense of joy and positivity.
The fabric composition is a blend of linen with cotton which adds softness and durability to the fabric. Another advantage of linen-blended fabrics is their improved wrinkle resistance allowing your dress to maintain a crisp and polished appearance for longer periods.
The fabric has been hand-washed because linen/cotton blends tend to shrink between 2% and 3% in width.
Each garment is designed and made by me using traditional sewing techniques.

Linen/Cotton Blend
Hand wash your linen blend fabric in cold water using a mild detergent.
Avoid excessive wringing or twisting.
Do not tumble dry.
Air drying is the best option for linen cotton blends because excessive heat can cause shrinkage.
Do not bleach.
Do not soak for a long time.
Use low to medium heat settings. Don't press it too much. Use a pressing cloth and place it between the hot iron and the linen blend fabric to prevent flattening and creating a shine.
Can be dry cleaned.
